Religion, Politics and Fake News

I was alerted to this interview of fake news master, Paul Horner, in the WA POST.  What a weirdness of a world we live in that this bit of truth-telling nails the truthiness so perfectly. . .  A virtual call-to-arms for more effective, rational, skeptical education.

“Honestly, people are definitely dumber. They just keep passing stuff around. Nobody fact-checks anything anymore — I mean, that’s how Trump got elected. He just said whatever he wanted, and people believed everything, and when the things he said turned out not to be true, people didn’t care because they’d already accepted it. It’s real scary. I’ve never seen anything like it.”

And read what this professor at Merrimack College says about her Fake News List.

Whether in Politics or Religion, it is the wise thing to do to check the facts and never stop asking, What is True?
