Not to Worry: Congress is Praying for You

Comforting, isn't it?
Comforting, isn’t it?

Well, this has to be the latest disappointment from the “sacred halls” of national government.

Congressional Prayer Caucus

Isn’t it comforting (even for you non-US folks) to know that nearly 100 members of Congress meet regularly to pray?

And they send letters of support to “persecuted Christians” like Kim Davis and the praying high school coach in Washington.  How nice.

It’s sure good to know that our elected leaders have so much time to practice, protect and promote their Christian faith all over this Secular nation.

And, sure enough, the Congressional Prayer Caucus Foundation has a holy mission,

“to promote prayer, protect religious freedom and restore, upgrade and popularize America’s founding spirit and the principles related to faith and morality that shaped this Great Republic.”

Why? Because, as we all know (don’t we?):

“There is a concerted effort to remove God from our culture, and negate the influence that the Christian faith had on establishing the principles upon which our liberties are secured”

At least we have these folks to remind us of the “criminalizing of Christianity” in America and the “executive fiat and judicial tyranny” that threatens Christian Religious Freedom!

Please, if you’re NOT living in America, pray to Zeus for us, will you?  America needs some guidance from above (the shoulders)!

Oh, and don’t miss one Senator’s complaints about Separation of Church and State

Orrin Hatch Preaches to the Senate

(Religion is being Attacked!  No Prayer in Schools!  No God in Government!  No Bibles in Class!  These folks sure know how to both Whine and Lie in the same breath)
