Does a Christian Nation Need More Christian Chaplains for Christian Soldiers?

Sure it does!

Except, well, sorry, I forgot, there IS no Christian Nation.  Especially not America.

We need more Christian Chaplains! (Friendly Atheist)

As my comment on Patheos states, this endless confusion over the difference between Chaplains and Missionaries is getting so old and tiring.

Sometimes. . .sometimes. . .I wonder whether it really would be better to eliminate military chaplaincies.  Counselors and therapists could do what’s necessary to maintain morale and mental health.  “Spiritual services” could be provided off-base during off-time by local clergy of whatever faith, if so desired.

The role of a true, professional and well-trained (balanced and inclusive) Chaplain is just too confusing for so many who feel a Chaplain is called to a Missionfield rather than a Battlefield.
