Secular means radically rooted in the natural world.

Here is a small selection of photographs from my homeland.

  1. That is not a river but skyline. If it is a river then that river is very peaceful. The picture is turned upside down. Can you prove this is really a river? What is the name of this river?

    1. I would have to take you to this river to prove it exists, rev. For now, you’ll just have to take my word on “faith” (smile). It is the Russian River in Sonoma County, California. I used this photo for the cover of my book, “My Address is a River,” in part because it shows the need to have different perspectives. The publisher sent it back (true story) and said it was upside down! So, you’re not the first person to be fooled.

      1. Thank you. The nice thing about our discussions on secular/spiritual matters here is that no one is asked to “just believe” anyone or anything. Nature’s images can shake our senses sometimes and make us question what we think or believe about our world. I find that delightful. Be well, sir.
